I love the Moisture Plus line by Beauty without Cruelty. It smells like Ylang Ylang and Lavender. If you're looking for an artificial, [@]Fake smell then you may be with the class of people who don't like this smell. If you like the smell of essential oils and appreciate the benefits of Aromatherapy, then you should try this! I am a professional hair stylist in New York City. I have tried countless brands of haircare products. Most products out there are chock full of Chemicals. I like that BWC is Natural and Gentle to the body and hair. This shampoo cleanses very well, and when used with the corresponding conditioner and Leave in Conditioner it leaves my long platinum blonde hair silky smooth once it has air dried.

I bought the moisture plus shampoo along with two other BWC shampoos and the moisture plus is the one I can say I like the least. I don't like the smell and I don't think it lathers well for the same amount of shampoo that I use with the other two shampoos. I have to use more of this shampoo to get a good lather and it doesn't make my hair feel as clean as I'd hoped. I can't really tell if it is helping to moisturize my hair and I've been using it for a month. I don't think I'd recommend this product to a friend based on the smell and the lack of lather/cleanliness it gives. It works okay but I'd choose the BWC daily benefits shampoo over the moisture plus if you are looking for moisturizing shampoo.

There is no build up with this product. I can use it everyday and it leaves my hair nice and clean and soft

I have always had limp, dry, brittle hair. I tried every store and salon brand shampoo that claimed to prevent dryness, with disappointing results.

I switched to BWC (for environmental reasons) and I am amazed at the difference in my hair.
This shampoo is gentle and natural, and does not dry out my hair. It leaves my hair soft and healthier looking.
(I also use the conditioner)

Some people don't like the smell, but the smell is faint, it smells natural, and it fades as your hair dries. Not a heavy perfume or flowery smell.

Yes, this shampoo has a strong odor. Fresh and clean, but medicinal. However, the scent goes away once your hair dries and that is the only con for this product.

I've tried many natural shampoos and conditioners, and most of them either stripped my hair or left heavy buildup. BWC shampoo and conditioner make my hair soft and easy to style, without being greasy. They definitely stand up to salon brands in quality.

The shampoo also lathers easily, which means you don't have to use as much, making this fairly economical.

I have thick, long (past my shoulders) hair, and this along with its conditioner has been the best combination I've used thus far. It makes my hair soft without irritating my scalp (something I've had a problem with in the past), and the conditioner acts as an excellent shaving cream. My hair has never felt better.

The only cons are the smell, and the fact that it doesn't really do much for my frizzy hair once it dries. But if you're like me, the benefits far outweigh the smell (which by the way goes away after it dries). And I might just have to get a different product for my frizz anyway, no matter what shampoo/conditioner I use. But for me, the strong smell (chamomile) is a lot better than any chemical smell, so it's worth it.

I'd recommend this to anyone whose hair is starving for moisture, and who've tried everything possible.

I can't stand the smell while I was shampooing.... I used it twice and gave up. Once its dried, it's okay though.

I have dry, color-treated hair and sensitive skin that cannot tolerate most hair products. This is the best I have found and I enjoy the orchid-like fragrance too.
