There are no cons to this product. I use it the moment I feel a sore throat coming on and in most cases it stops it before it gets going.

I use this when my allergies cause post nasal drip and have a slight sore throat or tendency to cough.
Helps with dry throat also.

When they went off the shelft, I was delighted to find that Drugstore carried this product. Have been using it for years. Most of the time, it stops the pain of sore throat and/or stuffy nose. Best product I have ever found for those problems.

This actually seems to heal a sore throat, not just numb it. Use it just as you first feel the start of a sore throat.

I have used this product of years and years until I could no longer find it in the Portland Metro area. I thought it was discontinued and been suffering major throat pain for about 5 years now. I've tried several different products but they have no effect. This has been the ONLY product that I have used that has been effective, so I am sooo glad, and grateful that you can still buy it. I've used Cepastat for many years but can no longer find it locally.
I have chronic sinus drainage with scratchy throat, hoarseness and a boatload of allergies. This lozenge contains phenol which is very effective for me. Some people don't like the taste, but I think it tastes just fine. I'm a singer and this product really soothes an irritated throat.
Too bad it's so hard to find. I order it on-line.
