Love this brush, my second one.. Never had any problems with my hair getting stuck on the gold handle ring or in the brush, perhaps it is another brand the customer with the bad review is writing about? This works wonderfully to grip my baby fine hair and the handle is comfortable to use. The bristles stay on wonderfully...no complains here!

I have naturally curly hair. I have it chemically straightened in the salon, but it still retains some of its curl. I have tried MANY brushes over the years, and this is better than brushes I have paid $30 for. Also, my 4 year old daughter was in absolute hysterics every time I brushed her hair because she said it hurt - until I used this brush! It was a miracle. She has long hair and I was about to have it cut short because I felt so bad for her crying every time I brushed her hair. I'm glad I found this brush because I didn't want to cut her hair! I have not had the problem the other reviewer described, and I have been using this brush for about a year - the same brush. I'm buying 2 more now, one so my daughter has her own, and another one so I have a backup. My original porcupine brush is still going strong, but now I will have 3.

I used the Revlon Perfect Style Brush for the second time today while drying my hair and wound up pulling out a fair amount of hair because it got caught around the gold metal piece between the handle and brush body. Not happy - poor design.
