I was using regular depilatories that left my skin irritated for a day or two before I discovered this. For best results, do a test spot to determine the exact amount of time leave it on. If you leave this on too long, you will burn your skin. I leave it on for four minutes, any longer and my skin is irritated. Definitely use the surgi-soothe cream that is included to restore skin's pH, soothe skin, and slow hair growth. I am 40 years old with combination skin and use daily AHA/BHA products and an OTC retinol. I use this depilatory once a week, and have no problems adding this into my skin care regime. I have been using it weekly since July 06 without problems.

I've used this product in the past with excellent results. No it doesn't smell good, and I had to leave it on about 10 minutes to work, but in the past it worked very well, removing all hair in the applied area with zero irritation. The box and packaging looks different now and I don't know if they changed the formula but it only removed about 25% of the hair and caused severe irritation and "chemical burns." Maybe I need to used it a little longer to let my skin get used to it, but I'm kind of scared to use it again.

i used it on my beard line even though I am a women!!!! I have no female parts due to cancer and I cannot take hormones so I grow hair and I did not want to start shaving so this stuff is AWESOME!!! I use it once a month and woo-la hair is gone!!! I LOVE IT

Please don't use the facial hair remover cream, the skin above my lip is now bleached white and there is NOTHING I can do about it. Nothing covers it and it's so obvious! It is so upsetting every time I look in the mirror. I only used it once and this happened ! BE REALLY CAREFUL !

I really did not enjoy this product at all! I have some facial hair and need it removed. I saw many people recommend this product. I just simply doesn't work! I have tried Veet Body hair remover even though it says not specifically for face, but it works wonders for me! This doesn't! All this has done was turn me red, cause my skin to burn, and not remove anything!

I have been using this product for about 3 years now. It works good enough for me to continue using it. I have not really tried any other products, so I cannot compare it. I tried this one and it worked, so stuck with it instead of chancing others. After buying it in stores for 2 years, I noticed it was no longer avaiable! I am glad to be able to find it online.

It is a lot less painful than waxing. The price is very reasonable. I leave it on for 5 minutes. Because my hair grows fast, I do have to use it every 7 days or so. It gets almost all of the hair off. There are about 8-10 random hairs or so (sometimes less) left each time after using the product. Which I just tweeze. I use it on my upper lip, cheeks, and chin area. So, having only 10 hairs left, are good odds!

p.s. the smell is unpleasant, but it does not continue to smell after being washed off. it only smells while using the product, so who cares! also, I did notice a couple of times I left it on longer than I should have by accident, and face did get a little red. but the redness went away in few hours or less.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I wanted to try cream hair remover for my upper lip. The hair goes back thicker and faster than before. I'm back to having my lip waxed. Also, this product left a rash and smells yucky.

I have used Surgi Cream (not extra gentle) for 15 years. This was the only product available at my local beauty supply. Do not waste your time or money. Find & buy the regular Surgi Cream Facial Hair Remover-it is fantastic!
