If you have always had your woolens dry cleaned, you may face a learning curve, as I did, to learn how to hand wash your clothes. The instructions should be followed carefully for the best results. The process is not difficult but takes time and is just a little labor intensive. However, this product smells so good and my hand washed clothes look and feel so much fresher, softer and loftier, that it is completely worth the effort. I feel as if I'm doing a better job caring for and protecting expensive (and not so expensive) cashmere and other woolens.

This made my sweaters fantastically soft, and the smell is absolutely delicious! It leaves the garment smelling much different than it does in the bottle. It smells so good, I want to wash all of my clothes in it! It left my sweaters simply heavenly. Worth every penny.

You still have to use some other stain remover for stains but its great for just washing and refreshing the clothes

my only complaint is that it smells like dog shampoo. Other than that, it's a good product.

I put some shampoo into Pre-washing & washing basket of machine, at usual one bottle cap for 2-3 adult sweaters; and then turn to hand-washing with cold water, that's all. however, the product is really good for saving money on dry cleaning for wool and cashmere clothes.

Great product. Leaves cashmere clean, soft, and fluffy. I am sensitive to chemicals, and this gave me no problems at all. It's a little pricy, but I think you can use a bit less than the recommended amount to make it last longer. Still way cheaper than dry cleaning, and leaves the fabric softer and not full of chemicals!

This is a great product for my cashmere sweaters. I have been having some troubles with cloth moths which is costly and just heartbreaking to see gorgeous sweaters with tiny holes. Since using this product, I haven't noticed any new holes. My fingers are crossed.

I figured this would keep my cashmere sweaters soft and fresh smelling, but a) the scent is barely noticeable, b) the sweaters didn't come out looking much cleaner, and c) when I spread them out to dry on a flat towel, they actually seemed to get more rumpled. With Woollite at least they look smoother and smell fresher. This is just pretty packaging, IMHO.

I tried this product out on my husband's favorite lambswool cardigan, and was very satisfied with the results. It didn't make the colors bleed (the sweater is black/cream striped), and it got all the dirt out which had been accumulating for a while as I was nervous about washing it. Especially when I applied the product directly on to problem spots and worked the lather into the cuffs and collar (rinsing well), they went from grey to creamy yellow-white as they had been. There was no soaking required/recommended, so I was done in about 3 minutes. After it was dry I was impressed how soft and thick the sweater was. Also, it didn't irritate my sensitive skin, and had a subtle, pleasant cedar smell that will probably help repel moths (moths hate cedar and lavender). The Laundress Wool and Cashmere Shampoo was definitely worth the price (even for a poor graduate student).
